What is the Freeze Function?

The Freeze function is PrecisionWrite's surgical precision tool that allows you to lock specific content from being altered during AI rewriting. While most AI tools change everything indiscriminately, Freeze gives you complete control over what stays and what changes.
Important: Available to All Users
Unlike other advanced features, Freeze is available in both Free and Pro versions. We believe precise content protection should be accessible to everyone, regardless of subscription level. Free users can freeze terms while using the Standard writing style and basic grammar correction.
With our intuitive point-and-click interface, you simply activate Freeze mode, select what to protect, and let the AI work around your frozen content. No complex menus or technical knowledge required.

How Freeze Works: Simple Point-and-Click Interface

  1. Step 1

    Step 1: Activate Freeze Mode

    Click the snowflake icon below the text input area. The button turns blue to indicate Freeze mode is active and ready to protect your content. Available to all users.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2: Select Content to Freeze

    Click on any word in the text that you want to protect. The system will automatically highlight the word and show a contextual menu with freezing options.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3: Choose Freeze Range

    From the menu, select your desired protection level: Freeze This Word, Freeze This Sentence, or Freeze This Paragraph. The system immediately applies your choice.

    Options: [Word] [Sentence] [Paragraph] Click 'Sentence' → Entire sentence protected

  4. Step 4

    Step 4: Review & Repeat

    The frozen content now appears with visual protection indicators. You can continue selecting more content to freeze, or proceed with other editing settings.

    Frozen text shows: 🔒 Highlighted border Multiple items can be frozen Deactivate Freeze mode when done
